Note: updates/corrections/errata/additional notes, etc. will be primarily placed later at: http://www.rawbw.com/~mp/linux/ssh/ in the not too horribly distant future (I have another quite similar presentation I'm scheduled to do on 2010-03-02). Here (at least so far): README.txt - this file ssh.odp - as presented at BALUG 2010-02-16 typescript.gz - gzip compressed raw typescript file created with script(1) includes not only most all the (notably non-X11) demo bits, but also includes the initial setup done before the meeting, and slight bit closing out after the BALUG meeting. The script(1) command was executed on one of my home systems (running Debian GNU/Linux), which I accessed via PuTTY (and 2 intermediary screen(1) sessions, or 3 intermediary screen(1) sessions and an intermediary ssh session, depending from when and where I accessed it). From that home system, I ssh(1)ed into two systems, balug-sf-lug-v2.balug.org. (a BALUG Xen domU guest within a Jim Stockford / SF-LUG Xen dom0 physical host) and sf-lug.com. (an SF-LUG domU guest within that same dom0 physical host), and then showed most of the demo bits from (and jumping between) those ssh sessions on those two (Xen domU "guest") host systems. Xhistory.txt - contains (mostly from bash fc -l) history, less the leading history numbers and whitespace, the X11 command shown, plus earlier commands (or very near approximation thereof - some actual bits were clobbered in the history by the additional bash shell running within xterm) that were done to prepare for the X11 forwarding over ssh and related ssh demonstratoin bits. This was done within Cygwin on Microsoft Windows XP, the portions after the startx comand shown were done within an xterm under XFree86 within that Cygwin environment.
